About this work
Tenth print from a series of fourteen on the Passion, used in the Passional Buch. In the center, in the foreground, surrounded by soldiers, Christ collapses under the weight of the cross. A soldier on the left kicks him. Simon of Cyrene takes hold of the cross. In the background on the right, Mary stands amidst male and female followers. At the top, in the center, two coats of arms.
