About this work
Japanese soldiers in white summer uniforms unexpectedly attack the Chinese from the left flank. This caused panic, leading men to jump off the cliffs. More than 2000 Chinese lost their lives in this battle at Pyongyang during the First Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895).
