About this work

Japanese marines rowing in boats towards land at the mouth of the Yalu River in Korea. Chinese soldiers are tumbling down into the rough water. The naval battle near the Yalu River is also known as the Battle of the Yellow Sea on September 17, 1894, during the First Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895).
