About this work
In a smoky battle, Japanese soldiers defeat the Chinese. The actual battle was in fact north of the city of Feng Huang Cheng. The Japanese intended to take the city, but on 29 October 1894 the inhabitants left the city and set it on fire. The campaign in Manchuria took place in October during the First Sino-Japanese War (1894–1895).
