About this work

Naval battle in the Sound between Helsingør, Helsingborg, and Copenhagen, on 8 November 1658. The Dutch fleet under Jacob van Wassenaer Obdam came to the aid of the Danish king Frederik III against the Swedes led by King Charles X Gustav. The Dutch were successful and forced the Swedes to end their siege of Copenhagen. Depiction in three parts. At the top, the naval battle with the legend A-G in German; below, two maps of the Sound and Schleswig-Holstein.
