About this work
Lycaon (right) tried to deceive Jupiter (left, with an eagle) by slaughtering his son Arcas and offering him as a meal, whereupon Jupiter turned him into a wolf. The king's palace is struck by lightning in the background. In the lower margin, a four-line explanation in two columns, in Latin.
