About this work
On the left sits the blind king Phineus at a table. His food is constantly stolen by Harpies. The two sons of the north wind Boreas, Calaïs and Zetes, pursue the monsters through the air to help Phineus. The guests flee. In the lower margin a three-line explanation of the scene in French.
