About this work
The battle between the Philistines and the Israelites. When King Saul was under fire from Philistine archers, he asked his armor-bearer to kill him. When the armor-bearer refused, Saul fell on his own sword. The armor-bearer followed him in death (1 Samuel 31:4). The print is part of an album.
