About this work

King Solomon sitting on his throne in his palace, before him two women with a baby. One of the women kneels and begs not to kill and split the baby, the other gives the baby to a soldier with a sword in his hand. Solomon passes his judgment and points to the kneeling woman with his staff as the true mother. The print is part of an album.
