About this work
The high priest Hilkiah stands to the right at a lectern and reads the laws to King Josiah, who sits on a throne to the left in the temple. Behind the king stand the people and the priests of Judah and Jerusalem. Outside, a fire burns in which all pagan sacrifices found in the temple are consumed. This print forms part of an album.
