About this work

The feast of Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, as an allegory of the sinful meal. The king and his company drink to pagan gods from cups stolen from the temple of Solomon. Then a human hand appears writing on the wall, instilling fear in the king. This print forms part of an album.
