About this work
Jonah sits with a view of the city of Nineveh waiting until God will destroy the city. God has let a miracle tree grow for him, so that he can sit in the shade. But the next day the tree is withered, the leaves hang limp, and Jonah is overcome by the heat. This print forms part of an album.
