Christ appears to the apostles while they are eating. He reproaches them for their unbelief and stubbornness and commands them to go through the world. In the six circles above, the content of the Gospel is depicted. In the background it can be seen how Christ is taken up into heaven. Letters are placed at various elements of the scene.
