About this work
Mary riding, with the Christ child in her arms, on the donkey. Joseph leads the animal by the reins. They are accompanied by two angels carrying the baggage. In the sky originally a dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit, surrounded by cherubim. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Matthew 2: 14-15. The print is part of an album.
