About this work

Joab stands at the city walls of Abel Beth Maacah. A woman throws him the head of the traitor Sheba from the wall, after which the siege of the city was lifted. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to 2 Samuel 20: 15-16. The print is part of an album.
