About this work

In the streets of Bethlehem mothers try to protect their children from the soldiers of Herod. They have been ordered to kill all boys of two years and younger in Bethlehem. King Herod with a group of riders in the background. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Matthew 2: 16-18. The print is part of an album.
