About this work

Christ gives his disciples the order to cross the Sea of Galilee. Then he goes up a mountain alone to pray (depicted in the top right). On the Sea of Galilee the boat with the disciples of Christ is battered by the waves. Christ walks over the lake towards them and Peter comes to meet him. Because he doubts he begins to sink, after which he is taken by the hand by Christ. Letters stand next to various elements of the scene. Above the image a title. Below it six lines of verse and a reference to Matthew 14: 24-31. The print is part of an album.
