A group of almanac sellers is chased away by mounted police. In the foreground, an almanac seller holding a print in his left hand and a chest labeled 'Le messagier Boiteux' on his belly is grabbed by the beard by a foot soldier. Beside them, a bearded man in a pointed cap hides under a copy of 'Le double Liégois'. With a two-line French caption.
