Portrait of the antiquarian, wine merchant and collector of antiques Dirk Christiaan Meijer jr., also co-founder of the Genootschap Amstelodamum and treasurer of the Royal Antiquarian Society. Meijer sits in a chair holding a print in his right hand. Next to him a portfolio with prints in a stand. On the table in front of him books and a framed photograph. In the background a cabinet and a fireplace. On this fourth state of the print the signature of Meijer has been added.
