About this work
Portrait of the antiquarian, wine merchant and antique collector Dirk Christiaan Meijer jr., also co-founder of the Genootschap Amstelodamum and treasurer of the Royal Antiquarian Society. On this third state of the print the interior in which Meijer is located is completed. Meijer sits in a chair with a print in his right hand. Next to him a portfolio with prints in a stand. On the table in front of him books and a framed photograph. In the background a cabinet and a fireplace.
