About this work

Statue of Bacchus holding a raised drinking cup in one hand and the thyrsus in the other. In his hair he wears vine leaves and grapes; over his shoulder hangs the skin of a panther. He stands next to a tree trunk. On the base the coat of arms of Vincenzo Giustiniani. The print is part of an album with a series of prints after the sculptures in the collection in the Galleria Giustiniani in Rome.
