About this work
Roman bas-relief. To the right, Pluto seizes Proserpina to take her away in his chariot. Diana tries to stop him. To the right, Pluto takes Proserpina away in his chariot, while Minerva still tries to save her. In the center below is the coat of arms of Vincenzo Giustiniani. The print is part of an album with a series of prints after the sculptures in the collection in the Galleria Giustiniani in Rome.
