About this work

An emblem with two representations. Above, the personification of Justice sits on a rock. Cannons are aimed at her and a fleet approaches. In the clouds, God the Father holds a heart in his hand. Below, a double-headed crowned eagle with an arrow. These are devices of Emperor Rudolf II.
