About this work
In a wooded landscape stands Saint Anthony by a river. He wears a monk's robe and hood. In his left hand he holds a staff with a tau and next to his right leg a pig, his attribute, is depicted. In front of him stands Satan with the external characteristics of a satyr, who offers him fruit.
