About this work

An ornamental frame with four cartouches containing the personifications Poverty (Paupertas), Chastity (Castitas), Obedience (Obedientia) and Abstinence (Abstinentia). At the bottom, a cartouche with six kneeling men around a man with a book and a halo. At the top, a cartouche with the title Charity (Caritas) and a scroll with a motto.
