About this work

On a pedestal, the female personification of Physics or Worldview. She removes the blindfold from the philosopher standing before her; he had deceived himself with his own imagination. Unlike the philosopher, who bases his search for truth on imagination, Worldview or Physics finds truth through observation (empirical research) of nature, by contemplating the world. Around her are various scientific instruments that assist her. Thus she arrives at the discovery of True Faith, depicted to her right rear as a naked woman holding a palm branch and a Bible in one hand and the divine light in the other. In the background, various natural phenomena.
