About this work

Putti with a compass, portrait medallion of Charlemagne and the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece around a map of (part of) the Holy Roman Empire. Beside them sits a crowned woman with a scepter. On the left lies a jug with portrait medallions of rulers of the Holy Roman Empire. In the center a bust of a German prince, behind whom stand two Western Europeans. In the background a city in a mountain landscape by the water.
