About this work
In a sleeping chamber with a sleeping canopy bed on the left, a barber shaves the mustache of a man using an iron. The man sits with a sheet around him on a chair. On the right a servant stands by a table on which scissors, combs and other barber tools are placed. On the walls tapestries and a painting of Zeus and Danae.
