About this work
In a sleeping room with a canopy bed to the left a barber shaves the mustache of a man using an iron. The man sits with a cloth around him on a chair. To the right a servant stands at a table with scissors, combs and other barber tools. On the walls tapestries and a painting of Zeus and Danae.
