About this work
The Silver Age of Jupiter. In the foreground, arts are practiced. In the background, a field is ploughed and people build dwellings in caves. The print refers to the mythologically inspired idea that man during the Silver Age had to deal with the seasons. One had to cultivate the land, seek shelter in houses, and protect oneself against the cold. Also, for the first time, the seven liberal arts were practiced. This print is part of an album.
