About this work

Kabuki actors Kawarasaki Gonjurô I in the role of Izutsuya Yosaburô with gold coins, and Ichikawa Kodanji IV as the beggar Kômori Yasugorô. Kômori Yasugorô, or Yasugorô the Bat, referring to the bat tattoo on his face, begs for money from Izutsuya Yosaburô, recognizable by the scars on his body.
