About this work
Saint Nicholas, depicted as the Bishop of Myra, makes a blessing gesture toward three small children crawling out of a tub. They had been murdered by a butcher, placed in a tub, and pickled. Saint Nicholas brought them back to life. In the background a sea with a ship.
