View of the Dam in Amsterdam. To the left of the center the Town Hall. To the right of the center the New Church with its never-completed tower, in front of it the Waag. Top left: the city coat of arms. Front left: the shop of Hendrick Hondius II, 'de Wackere Hond', with a dog as a shop sign on the facade. On the Dam market traders and merchants, right front goods on the quay.
