About this work

Allegorical representation of autumn. A decorative composition with three medallions with personifications of the months September, October, and November with their corresponding zodiac signs. In the center, on an arcade, sits Bacchus surrounded by grapevines between two caryatids. On either side of Bacchus lie felines. Under the arcade, a vase is carried by two eagles. At the bottom, four dogs. The print is part of an album. Most likely a mirrored copy after a French original.
