About this work
Allegorical representation of winter. A decorative composition with three medallions with personifications of the months December, January, and February with their corresponding zodiac signs. In the center stands the allegorical figure of winter surrounded by a scythe, surrounded by masks, and on either side a dancing jester. The print is part of an album. Most likely a mirrored copy after a French original.
