About this work
Untrimmed sheet with two representations, numbered 3 and 10. Under the representations two lines of verse in Dutch. On the left a street scene with a rearing donkey in front of a man and woman, with the verse: 'How daintily you are dressed, / that even the donkey is frightened of you'. On the right a representation with a woman who arrives at a convent. She stands before a monk and takes off her wig. Through a window three nuns look on. Under the representation the verse: 'They will here in the convent life, / soon give you another hairstyle.'
