On the right Aesculapius stands by a rooster on a console. He holds an esculap. Above the frame medical instruments and books. In the upper left Pegasus causing the Hippocrene to spring forth. On the right the young Aesculapius with the centaur Chiron, who raised him. Between these scenes is a Latin text with information about the person portrayed. In the lower left a putto with a laurel wreath, a palm branch and a snake biting its own tail as a symbol of eternity. In the lower right a putto on a skull, blowing bubbles as a vanitas symbol. Between the putti an eight-line Latin text.
