About this work
Satirical print on Holland. A circular composition divided into three compartments contains three scenes with French inscriptions in which Holland is represented as a woman who smokes, drinks, falls ill, and dances. In the first two scenes, remedies are proposed by respectively smoking, eating, and drinking Dutch citizens and mayors. These do not work well. Eventually, an English and a French doctor get woman Holland dancing.
