Celestial map showing the eccentric orbit of the sun around the Earth, according to the theory of Ptolemy. In the lower left and right corners, separate parts of the theory are clarified in globes. The map features a degree scale along the edges. In the outer ring of the map and two globes, the zodiac is depicted. Title cartouches in the upper left and right corners, held by putti. Numbered in the lower right corner: 16.
