About this work

The third International Congress of the World Union for Women's Suffrage in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (15-20 June 1908). Standing centrally on a table, Carrie Chapman Catt, president of the World Union, takes the oath to stand firm until the goal, women's suffrage, is achieved. Based on the painting 'Le Serment du Jeu de paume' (The Oath of the Tennis Court) by Jacques-Louis David.
