About this work
The old lion, Abraham Kuyper, lies powerless and dying on the ground and is wounded by all the animals. As a last straw, he receives a kick from the donkey Mr. Albertus de Jong, editor-in-chief of the newspaper 'De Rotterdammer'. After the fable of the old lion by Aesop.
