About this work
Saturnus is offered a golden apple by his sister Rhea. They are surrounded by trees, classical architecture, and two putti. One of them carries a bundle of flowers and fruit, as well as the golden apple, a reference to the Elysian Fields, the dwelling place of the blessed. Octagonal composition.
