About this work

View and plan of the large theater erected in the Hofvijver in The Hague for the illumination (11 June 1749) and fireworks (13 June 1749) in honor of the Peace of Aachen concluded in October 1748. The theater was designed by court architect Pieter de Swart. On the sheet below the plate, the explanation of the performance in three columns.
