About this work

View and plan of the large theatre erected in the Hofvijver in The Hague for the illumination (11 June 1749) and fireworks (13 June 1749) in honour of the Peace of Aix-la-Chapelle concluded in October 1748. The theatre was designed by court architect Pieter de Swart. On the sheet below the plate the explanation of the image in three columns.
