About this work
Map of the city of Charleroi, taken by the French army, 11 October 1693. At the top, a cartouche with a view of the city. These two scenes are pasted in an ornate frame with Victory and Fame at the top. At the bottom, a cartouche with a pasted inscription of 11 lines in French, with bound prisoners on either side. Part of a series of prints with victories of Louis XIV.
