On the right, the Torah scrolls, carried by men and alternated by men with a torch or a candle, are carried in a procession to the Holy Ark (aron hakodesj or hechal). Above in the center, the Amsterdam Maiden and the personification of Freedom of Conscience grant a Jewish priest with a prayer scroll and a kneeling woman with tablets of the law the freedom to practice their religion. To the left of this, a plan of the temple; to the right, a view of the exterior. On both sides, medallions with the names of the synagogue regents, members of the building committee, and persons who performed ceremonies during the inauguration.
