About this work
A resurrected Frederik Hendrik grants mercy at the wonder tree to the naked and destitute shareholders by offering them shelter under his cloak. This is an illustration of an old proverb: to hide under the cloak of Frederik Hendrik, meaning: to be free from persecution in financial matters. In the middle, wind traders drown in a ditch, on the right a carousel. With a caption in two columns. Print 60 in the series Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trading of 1720.
