About this work

Breach of the dike at Coevorden, 1 October 1673. Enemy cavalry and artillery are washed away by the water; in the distance the city of Coevorden. At the top of the print the title on a hanging cloth, on the left a legend 1-11, on the right a six-line verse 'On the Miraculous Deliverance of Coevorden'. The whole enclosed in a frame with wind heads and skulls.
