About this work

Dike breach at Coevorden, October 1, 1673. Enemy cavalry and artillery are washed away by the water, in the distance the city of Coevorden. At the top of the plate the title on a hanging cloth, left a legend 1-11, right a poem of 6 lines 'On Coevorden's Miraculous Deliverance'. The whole in a frame with wind heads and skulls.
