About this work

Series of five prints about the events that took place in Utrecht over the period 1672-74. In the fourth print it is visible how after the departure of the French from the city in 1673, the Count of Hornes sends the members of the city council out of the avenue. Above this scene it is recalled how the city council had handed over the keys of the city to Louis XIV.
